Key online learning resources for the Myanmar Earthquake Response
On Friday 28 March 2025 at 12:52 PM Yangon time, a strong earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 struck central Myanmar, causing significant infrastructure damage across the country. The earthquake also impacted Myanmar’s neighbouring countries, including Thailand, Bangladesh, Laos, and China. The epicenter of the earthquake was about 17.2 km from the city of Mandalay in the northern region of Myanmar, which has a population of approximately 1.5 million. The tremors severely affected Mandalay, Nay Pyi Taw, Magway, and Sagaing regions. This is a live and ongoing crisis. This page will be updated regularly with more information and learning resources.
