Storm Daniel collapses two dams causing unprecedented floods
On Sunday 10 September, Storm Daniel hit north-eastern Libya, causing extreme rainfall resulting in devastating flash floods.
Two dams burst in the port city of Derna and entire neighbourhoods have been washed away. Benghazi, Sousa, and Al-Mar have also reported significant damage. Thousands of people are affected and vital infrastructure is destroyed.
